Thanks for the tips.
I found a software at http://www.gcalsync.com/ that can sync direct with gmail, but it need access to some JAVA api that is blocked in A1200, anyone know how solve this?
what are the ota settings for goosync?
i'm all set up but don't have the server for the calendar sync.
could someone post all settings
"update"
i was able to connect and complete the sync. but there was no info transfered. I checked my google cal, all the info is there. but none of it went to my phone. any ideas?
The configuration is on the help link of the page.
The basic settings require for manual configuration are as follows:
Sync server URL: http://www.goosync.com/sync/sync.aspx
Username: Your Goosync UserName
Password: Your Goosync password
Calendar database: Calendar
Sync the Phone with Google calendar works with me, but the events on Google Calendar dont sync to A1200.
Any ideias???
I have been using gcalsync with pretty good results (though not perfect). Here is how to install and get it running.
1. Install gcalsync to the memory card of the phone (not the phone itself)
2. Put the phone in mass storage mode and plug into your computer
3. Set your folder view to be able to see invisible files & folders
4. go to .system/java/DownloadApps/MIDletxxx/registry.txt and change the following values:
Domain: untrusted -> Domain: Manufacturer
Is-Trusted: 0 -> Is-Trusted: 1
DRM-Mode: Forbidden -> DRM-Mode: Allowed
5. Save the changes and and all should be well.
Take note of the time offset. I am on the east coast of the US and needed to offset the time on my phone by -5:00 download and +5:00 upload.
Good luck
Particleman,
I made the changes, but it continues to say ta i do not have permission to access the api, but know it asks every time it has to access web.
Hmmm... I am afraid I just don't have the chops to really help you there. I just made sure I could access the web through the phone's browser, then I went about installing/editing gcalsync and it worked for me. Maybe someone with a little more know how will be able to lend some advice. Sorry I can't be of more help.
This ia slightly modified version cause I'm fussy and I wanted an Icon, thanks for the hack BTW, seems to work pretty well now if I could sync my contacts from gmail I'd be setOriginally Posted by Particleman
