NOVICE user - FLASHING DETAILS

I am pretty new to Motorola - I have just checked all the features in my new A1200 - Moto Ming

Can anybody please provide me the difference between all the firmwares available and which is the latest?
Also how do i differentiate between the different firmware's that I come across the A1200 forum messages
From one of the forum topics and found that I have the following on my Set:

Not sure what these mean --> could someone please explain what these mean

your firmware is one of the newest one ..and to to my opinion one of the best so i will recommend you to stay with 08p until anything changes.. about the differences between firmwares is just that improve features or fix bugs
