Perform a master reset and if it didn't work you'll have to flash.
It all started 3 weeks ago when one day I suddenly realised that all my contacts in address book were gone. I tried to add a new contact and an error message said "Failed to add new contact". I removed my memory card and problem persisted. I'm not sure if my address book is gone or just not display to me.
After I edited a "Tasks", it should return me back to the list of tasks in the Task list. But it showed me nothing on the screen. If I quit task and want to go back to it, it (Task) would not load. I need to reboot my mobile in order to open Task and to see all the tasks. The tasks are not lost, they're still there.
After I edited 1 event in Calendar and return to the month calendar display, all my events are not displayed in the calendar. I need to reboot mobile to get them display on screen. Again, they are not lost, just not displaying after editing.
Any other functions/applications are working fine.
Can anyone tell me what goes wrong? And how to fix it? Will upgrade the firmware help? I'm using .44p.
Thanks (^.^)

I did try Master Reset but it did not work. So, I'll try to flash it. Thanks for your help.
Did you find a solution to this problem?
I just experienced this today. Phone worked fine yesterday, then when I went to access my Inbox today, it said "loading" and did not go anywhere.
Contact list is gone also.
Phone just restarted on its own, and now when I try to access the Inbox, it says "waiting for database" with a status bar.
Any other suggestions or causes?
Are you contacts on your sim card or saved to the phone?

I forgot to write down the outcome after my previous message.
Before upgrading my firmware, i think all my contacts in the address book were permanently gone.
I upgraded the firmware of my phone from .44p to .08p and the corrupted problem no longer exist.
From now on I keep a backup copy of all my contacts.
I saved my contacts on the phone itself rather than the SIM. Sounds like I'll be losing them
I did a search and found this: http://www.motorolafans.com/forums/v...970&highlight=
I get the same "waiting for database" message when I try to access my Inbox.
Its not for the A1200 but for the A780, would this be applicable? If so, how do I telnet with the phone?
Im new to this stuff.
ther is a sticky about telnetting on A1200:

Thanks for the link!
I did a quick read through and it sounds quite complicated. Since I'm a beginner at this, I'm afraid something worse will result if I dive into this...
Is it as hard as it seems?
