yap it works.
I bought a generic one for $2 bucks and it didnt work too well. I want to use my own earbuds. Can only get it to work when i plug it 3/4 in. But once i plug it all the way in it doesnt work. Notice my generic one only have 2 black rings. The radio actually works with the generic 3/4 plugged in. But appears some sound loss due to it being plugged in this fashion. My original stereo headset has 3 black rings. So I found this other headset adapter that has 3 rings on it. 2.5 to 3.5.
You guys think this one will work or has anyone tried it. Would love to use my own headset.

yap it works.
I just bought a similar 3 ring one from ebay yesterday. Awaiting arrival. I'll let you know how it goes.
Thanks for the feedback guys. Let me know how that 3 ring one works for you. I got some shure headphones i rather use than these oem headphones.
yes please i would like to know also. I have some earbuds that i would like to use to, will never go back to those regular audiophones again.
I, too, am curious about whether i should use a 3 ring 2.5mm (sub-mini) adapter, or use a 2 ring adapter.
SA far as I know, the two-ring jack is for left/right/ground (3-conductor) applications (e.g. earphones) and the three-ring jacks are for applications involving a mic & earpiece (like wired handsfree headset).
So i'm thinking it is the two-ring adapter then?
mine worked.. Get the three ring one from ebay..
