  1. Default Good news for A1200 users wanting 'push' email...

I sent an email recently to Consilient inquiring about the possibility of using their 'push' service with the A1200. A company representative replied by informing me the this 'new' service is officially being launched next week on November 15!!!!
I hope it works. This will give us that extra little something we're looking for regarding the use of our cool device.

With push email, emails are "pushed" directly to the mobile device as soon as the email server receives them.

Email is not "push" if the user has to manually check for new email, or if the mobile device has to check the server for new email at regular intervals.

MOrange also claims to have this service supported for the a1200. I'll try it this weekend and let you know

You need to visit their website and create an account which is free (at least at the moment). http://www.morange.com/

Then log on your phone with the account settings to advance further. Unfortunately my GPRS service has been down so I haven't been able to explore fully. As soon as my GPRS servie is back up I will report on this.

Morange has issues with screen display size. Its a known issue. You cannot see the rest of the touchpad option bars (like to go back, main screen, etc). I've emailed them about this and they said they are aware of the problem. How soon it will be fixed has yet to be determined. That was about 2 months ago

Morange 3.1 is working without problems on A1200; otherwise, Consilient still doesn't work - the Java program doesn't want to install.
