I have a sticking joystick (sticks to the upper left) somtimes and makes navigating a real pain. I found parts for the phone over at cnn.cn and need to know a fwe things

    a) what am I in for? How tiny are these parts. I'm sure I can handle it, just need to know what I'm looking at. Has anyone taken apart their ming before?

    b) what size Torx bit do I need? 3, 5, 6? to get the phone apart and any other tools I should have available

    many thanks

I hade been thinking about taking mine apart since I have the same problem, though my joystick is on right side. I would be interested in this info also.

Hi, you will need a T6 driver to open the phone and a small flat blade screwdriver to pry the 2 halves of the case apart after removing the 4 T6 screws. It's pretty easy to open up and all the parts just rest in there, the screen and speaker in the flip just plug into the mainboard. I don't know if a joystick swap will require soldering or not. From memory its about 1cm square.

    Good luck and have fun
    Grant.
