Q: WiFi on A1200?

did anyone ever do mod on A1200 so that it can have WiFi?

The A1200 does not have the hardware for WiFi to my knowledge so I dont think its possible

There is a MicroSD WiFi card I think it would work if someone were to write drivers under the A1200's Linux O/S.

i have seen before an plug that is wifi for the motorola a1200 it cost like 200$++

what kind of plug? any idea where it can be purchased? Fido charges me up the ass royally for internet usage.

It will be cool if we can put ( with adapter) a usb wifi-stick into mini-usb.

Why not a bluetooth module with a wifi adapter, you could package it much like a Bluetooth GPS receiver, run it off rechargeable li-ions... hell, you could even have an lcd on this module to set up the ip address or select hotspot that way you wouldn't have to do it on the phone. Maybe run an embedded linux on it do this???
