I have only one small question: How much songs does the A1200 take in a 512 mb card? And that's only songs and not with video files.

This has nothing to do with the A1200. You may inquire about how many songs would a 512MB card take? and the answer to that: it depends on the files' sizes which on average might be about 150 songs.

A typical song is probably about 3 to 4 minutes. Your looking at about 3-5 megs pers song. So divide that with 512 you will have your answer. Its also what samkatta said. about 150 songs for 512. 1 gig is two of 512 so maybe 300 songs on a 1 gig. Pretty much with samkatta also said. Do the math.

The important thing is the format you use for saving your songs. For example a play list consisting of about 25 songs in mp3 format saved at a bitrate of 128 kbps (radio quality) will take up around 80 mb. You can use audacity or some other program to save your songs at that rate. I find that 128 is good enough for my phone. On my home computer I usually use a bitrate of 320 kbps (studio quality).
