the screen does not light up incase of a call

HI folks,
am having a strange problem for the last couple of days .. the screen does not light up incase of a call and hence i am unable to trace the caller ... it gets quite irritating sometimes .. have i disabled the lights or is there a problem with the phone .. otherwise the lights seem to be fine when the lid is opened and it blinks once a couple of seconds later ...

any help will be aprreciated

yeah altely ive been having the same problem.. also the ringer i set for calls sometimes doesnt play.. it plays some kind of stock ringtone.. strange.. both problems happen inconsistently

are you using ringers and wallpaper from your transflash card? just a thought but you could see if it works better with stock ringtones and wallpaper.

yeah this happens to me too for the first 2 seconds of the call.... i guess the phones running so much on it that the lag is inevitable.... i've seen this happen wit high end nokia phones too. if ur screen doesnt light up at all, call ur phone dealer!
