just got a1200, how do i transfer movies to the phone?

i received this phone as a gift about a month ago, but i have not figure out how to transfer movies to it. please i am stuck here. thank you!!!

connect your phone to the PC with usb cable while it's on usb mass storage mode (in the phone's setup menu) and then it will show up as removable drive and you can transfer all the files you need to the transflash card.

When I got my A1200, I was able to transfer any file I wanted, but I couldn't get wmv or avi files to play. Does anyone know how I can update the codecs for real player on the phone?

real player does not play those codecs. You need Zmplayer in order to play those. Personally i use mp4 right now.

Man, we really need to find a way to incorporate a "FAQ" portion of the site (in each phone type) with quick SIMPLE answers on motorolafans. It would save both the newbs (like myself), and YOU, Alpha , a LOT of heartache and time.

Dont worry as i stated in the thread of my accouncement of becoming a mod, i have a little something working on something to make all of our lives easy!
But then again Alot of simple issue and problem can be found in stickies. Such as your example. Zmplayer has been in the stickies for a while. I think new members dont realize that the stickies are basically FAQ's and guides to help. So next time anyone has an issue always check the stickies first. If you cant find the answer then make a thread. If not pm me.
