Let's not get all jumpy on this one (yet), but a friend of mine just got a replacement to his previous MING, and i cannot identify what version is, can someone please comment on this version number?

The only difference i could notice on this version was the option to change the language to SPANISH! ( Gr8 feature 4 me, since i live in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic and spanish is my native language; that means finally i can use the voice dial function... well, once i get to find this available 4 download... )

My friend also told me this phone was sent directly from Motorola as a gift for the president of the latin american division of this particular phone company, OGANGE DOMINICANA, (wich belongs to France Telecom), so i assume this is some sort of prototype or something, aiming to the latin american market....

If someone can move move some strings to find out more info on this weird version, plz let me know.

This means that Motorola started to release localized firmwares for the phone.

I found just a site with wap user agent strings, the A1200 sends also it firmware version with this string along.

And Europe version is not SYMBIAN!
..we strongly need this firmware for localizing purposes!

Yes their website has changed since a long time now and shows the same specs of our phones. I think it was a mistake by putting the specs of the A1000 instead of the Ming on the Ming's spec sheet.
