Can you make completly firmware backup with this utility?

Procedure:

1. first af all you need transFlash card. 128 Mb and more.
2. If you have it - move phone to USB disk mode.
3. make archive - '.system' directory in root of transFlash (copy this directory to computer or make archive and copy to computer)
5. Remove '.system' directory competely.
4. Extract attached archive to root af transFlash card. if you see '.system' directory - that's ok!
5. Reboot phone.
6. When phone boots - all manually installed Java application dissapears don't worry we make backup from it. But you can see 3 new applications

LinLoader (Loader)
flashBackup (with large icon )
7. run FlashBackup - after that you would hear some periodical beeps. Please be patient time from beep to beep may be long about 3-5 minutes.
8. Wait for complete sound - it different from beeps.
9. change mode to USD disk again and go to directory .system/QTDownload/flashBackup/output.
10. Archive all files from that directory (all file sizes about 50-60 mbytes) this is a firmware backup
11. Share this archive somewhere. rapidshare or something else.
12. Now that's all

Restoring your original Java applications
1. in USB Disk mode - delete .system directory
2. Copy you original .system directory to TransFlash or extract source archive directly to TransFlash.
3. Reboot phone - that's all.
When phone boots up you can see you original installed applications.

I have only E680 with broken screen - and can't test it. A1200 working well but this is not backup for phone recover.

I tried this on my 46p to see what came out, what can we do with those files? Any way of eventually package them into a flashable form to get new firmwares off new phones?

samkatta: no this firmware parts directly from the phone flash memory and can't be used in PST or RSD flash tools.
I'am trying to find a way push it back to phone I have some ideas but only linux software part (AP), not (BP)... But! Yan0 rebuild sbf volume and if someone chineese speaking people ask him how do it - it would be greate advantage!

But that way give us ability to get original 'GENERIC' branding and localizing packets if someone have it, and make debranding CMCC firmware with a same version.

all right seems to me that a spanish firmware is out one of my wholesale suppliers just released these:
Motorola A1200 New Kit, w/Spanish GSM 100 Call
If he's alredy selling these phones they could get a hold of these firmware i guess l4 stands for latin america.

I really hope we can come across with this firmware it will make the a1200 the cellphone more desirable.
