Can you make completly firmware backup with this utility?
Procedure:
1. first af all you need transFlash card. 128 Mb and more.
2. If you have it - move phone to USB disk mode.
3. make archive - '.system' directory in root of transFlash (copy this directory to computer or make archive and copy to computer)
5. Remove '.system' directory competely.
4. Extract attached archive to root af transFlash card. if you see '.system' directory - that's ok!
5. Reboot phone.
6. When phone boots - all manually installed Java application dissapears don't worry we make backup from it. But you can see 3 new applications
telnet
LinLoader (Loader)
flashBackup (with large icon)
7. run FlashBackup - after that you would hear some periodical beeps. Please be patient time from beep to beep may be long about 3-5 minutes.
8. Wait for complete sound - it different from beeps.
9. change mode to USD disk again and go to directory .system/QTDownload/flashBackup/output.
10. Archive all files from that directory (all file sizes about 50-60 mbytes) this is a firmware backup
11. Share this archive somewhere. rapidshare or something else.
12. Now that's all
Restoring your original Java applications
1. in USB Disk mode - delete .system directory
2. Copy you original .system directory to TransFlash or extract source archive directly to TransFlash.
3. Reboot phone - that's all.
When phone boots up you can see you original installed applications.
