Odd intermittent problem when recieving calls

Its an odd problem that happens maybe 1 out of 10 calls, but not consistantly. Basically I'll receive an incomming call, flip open the flip and the phone says "Connecting..." and usually switches to "Connected." on the top. Now randomly I'll receive and call, and it just says "Connecting..." until it goes to missed call or until I hit end. I thought it was a network issue or weak reception - but I don't think it is. Reception bars are usually full, and it happens in random areas (not the same area everytime).

Also, I thought it was network because who knows, maybe the call got cut or stuck somehow in the network and couldn't answer. The other day my brother was calling me to test his bluetooth out, was standing a few feet from me, and when i flipped open the phone to answer his call the "Connecting..." happen. I asked him what he heard on his end, and he said it just kept ringing and then I finally hit end and it went to my voicemail. Think its a small glitch in the phone that is causing the phone not to connect.

I am using Fido in the lower mainland of BC, Canada. Anyone else have/seen this issue?

note: I've had at least 4 different flash files on the phone, all do it. 44p, to 53p china mobile, now to h2 06p - same issue.

I have the same problem with my phone, I have flashed it to every available Firmware in an attempt to solve this problem. I have had no luck, though out of all the ones I tried 53P seems to be the best. I am in Calgary on Fido, maybe this is a Fido issue?

back up your info and try a master clear and reset. See if that does anything. Also if that doesnt solve your issue call your carrier to see if there are any problems with your area.

Alpha, thanks for the advice, I do not know what my security code is to do the master reset/clear. Any idea what the default is? I tried 123456 but no luck.

I think its something to do with Fido... Two of my friends have a1200s (more have it, but I haven't asked them about this), and they said they have the same problem from time to time. Some days its really bad, and lately I didn't have it for like 2 weeks. Then just recently it happen 2 or 3 times in a day.... odd problem, but definately to do with the network from my opinion

Happens to me too, and I am on Fido in Toronto. Hmmm. I don't know if its a network issue anymore, didnt happen with my other phones and only seems to happen to A1200 users.

I just got my phone yesterday, and i've already had that problem once, except it wouldn't stop saying "Connecting"...so in the end, i just turned off the phone. I'm on Rogers in Toronto.

hmm. So basically, only happens with this specific phone on the rogers network. Sucks. Very annoying.

Im on fido in Calgary, I haven't experienced this problem in a couple of weeks now. I wonder if they are fixing it ? Or maybe it has something to do with the merging of Microcell & Rogers networks?
