Got my baby finally...

Hiyo, just grabed my A1200 yesterday from a local mall in the area (pacific mall) got it in white and it was the delux package. paid 500 cash for it. im sooo happy.

still playing around with it and all the features. btw didnt know it would be this small.

btw wanted to thank all the ppl on this forum on helping me decide/convince me on getting the phone.

I'll probably be getting my A1200 soon, too. Only (to my knowledge) the one I'll be buying isn't the "delux" package. Would you mind either attaching a photo of all of the contents in the box, or describing each item that came in the box?

sure, dont have a digi cam ready. but it came with the phone 2 style's and 2 batteries. Also it came with 4 cd's. Moto phone tools + real player + games/app cd and a fourth cd was the longmans dictionary, A usb adapter and a Charger was also included (with the North american adapter) and finally the stereo headset. Unfortunatly there was no transflash card dont know why. But the dealer thru in a free carrying case to make up for it.

i must be getting ripped off then. i just got my own "baby" yesterday and it didn't come with hardly anything! i got one battery, one stylus, USB cable, handsfree ear piece and one CD. but then again i got mine from a online dealer for 375.

Sounds like the Dealer messed up on the TF card, you should have gotten it with your phone.

However, it appears that the difference between the one I'll be getting, and the one that you got, is:

• Extra Battery
• Games Disc
• Longmans Dictionary

regarding the games disc, theres not much on it. all of the games require network access and the apps are in chinese i belive. As for the Longmans Dictionary, i dont think i'll be using it. If u want i can upload the games/apps to the site so u can try them out. the only thing i like is having the extra battery. it comes in handy if anything.

Oh, 'tis a pretty thing laddy. Nice picture! I'm SO excited to get my phone! You might even say I'm giddy. The finances are finally coming into order and I might be able to order my A1200 as soon as next Wednesday. Though, I'll have to wait for shipping and what not. Oh well, good things come to those who wait, right?

Someone on the boards mentioned they got their phone from the same guy I'm ordering from in 2 days. If that's the case, it might be worth regular shipping, otherwise, I'm thinking of expediting the shipping time.

You'd think it was Christmas time already, I'm so excited about this thing!... er, uh... Ming.

yeah man, i know the feeling. i was sooo excited when i went to buy the phone.

also i went back to the dealer and complained in regards to the lack of the transflash card, and well he said there wasnt one when he recieved the box. i was in disbelif. so he gave me a 64mb one.

dont know the truth behind this. but yeah. im planning on buying a 2gb card later on when its more availible and the price drops.

You're a more patient person than I, Blacknights. I'm buying the 2 GB flash card the day I order my A1200.

The type of situation you ran into with the dealer you bought from is the reason I buy only brand new items. It's another reason I have a problem trusting retailers on ebay that "say" the phone is brand new and never been opened. I figure if someone takes the time to pay for and maintain a web site, and be certified by "Visa", "Master Card" and other major credit card companies, they'll want to keep their customers coming back, and maintain a good reputation. If an ebay seller ruins his rep, he can just open a new account, and start over.

At any rate, I'm going to have to find something to keep me busy between now and next Wednesday so I don't go insane with anticipation!

lol, it is just a phone, as for the one i got. it was brand new. nothing was opend. they took the phone out too put out in the display case. but the batteries and software were sealed via stickers with serial #s. The phone still had the protection stickers all over it too. just no mem card. but its ok. beggers cant be choosers. even though i coughed up 500 for it. lol
