my a1200 won't play m4p. files

i use i tunes and of course those files are all m4p. ? mp4 ? or something like that and my ming won't play them.
it will play mp3's.
so i have to burn a c.d. in the mp4 format and then import it back into my computer (as an mp3) n order to change the file to mp3 (i wasn't able to make the conversion for files already in i-tunes unless i did it this way) , and then i can move the mp3 to my ming for play.

does anyone know how i can make this process easier ?

your going to have to convert the files yourself. itunes uses a special codec just for itunes. Yes it says m4p/mp4 but its different then the average m4p/mp4. So your better off encoding your files using a converting program and setting the songs you want to mp3.

I did some research for you. I believe you cannot convert songs purchased throught the itunes store. But you can can convert songs in your library. There is a option within itunes to convert a track to mp3. If you need help to do that let me know.
