The keyboard drivers should have support for the A1200 it's not just a matter of pairing the devices. Go to the manufacturers site and see if they have support for the A1200 (Linux based phone) or not.
How can I get a bluetooth keyboard to work with the a1200? I have been able to get my keyboard to pair but I can not seem to get it to do anything beyond that. Is there anything else I need to do be able to uses the keybpard with apps?

Ok, Check this keyboard out, this is the craziest thing I have seen in a while. I might order one of these just to try it. (have an axim it will work on otherwise)

The virtual keyboard has been released two years ago, first there was the serial version (with a cable) and then there was the bluetooth version. Before you go coughing that amount of price for it go through reading some reviews to see if the price is justifiable for your needs or not as some people complain about difficulty and wrist pain using it.
Ya, I found some reviews, seems like its interesting technology but not mature enought to be worth that type of money.
Looks cool though.

I think if they lowered the price to something like $80-90 it will sell like hell, but right now I think it's going to end of the road as it's not selling very well and there is not much developing for it.
I too have been interested in a nice bluetooth keyboard to type sms's and emails. Over the summer, I emailed several companies that make these keyboards and most did not even bother to test their products, such as the FrogPad, Freedom Input, and the laser one you have mentioned with our phones
Most are designed for windows mobile, pocket pc, palm, or symbian. One company did say that these keyboards use the HID bluetooth profile, which sadly our phones do not support.
The most important thing is the driver, if the driver is compatible with the device it would work.
