The only thing I can think of is to change the storage location to the TF card and then try deleting them from that through the file manager. I haven't tried this personally but I don't keep txt messages, I delete them pretty regularly.
is there a fast way to delete text messages? my phone stores over a 1000 in the inbox & sent box each. (im not sure where it is stored, but i've looked at the transflash and it doesn't look like it is stored in there)
when the system gets full, i cant send/receive a txt without deleting some, which is fine, except that it takes forever. for instance i'll go to the sent folder and hit the "delete all" button, but it does it so slowly that i can only do a few at a time, which when therea re over a 1000 messages to delet, would take forever. it sends everything to the trash folder. then i have to go to trash and hit "delete all" again, and then it deletes it pretty quickly.
can i set the phone to store just 500 in the inbox and sent box all the time and just automatically erase the oldest messages? is there a faster way to delete selected messages? (when i hit delete all it deletes the newest messages first) i tried to hook the phone up to my computer and delete messages using the phone tools but couldn't figure it out.
any help would be great, thanks!

i really wish there was a way for the phone to do it by itself!
