But to do it through Opera's site, I need to point my phone's web browser to a web address, which I can't do which is the reason for my initial e-mail.

Have you set your internet settings correctly? as you should be going to web pages normally with the phone's browser.
If you are still having problems, download opera mini from the web page whazzup provided and install it on the phone like any other Java app/game as mini opera is a Java browser.
