i just got my a1200/ming today with a 2gb micro SD card. i don't know anything about computers, well compared to my brother. if i want to compress a dvd, what format will it need to be in to play on my phone? do i need any additional software?

you will have to encode it either to the real media format with the utility that comes with the phone or you can check the zmplayer thread for encoding information and the zmplayer program.

you can also encode a video to AVi or Mp4. I use mp4 with Zmplayer. I highly recommend Zmplayer since it plays 25 frames!
