I downloaded these files and copied them onto the transflash. I am having problems getting it installed though. There is an 'Install_chinese.mpkg' file which should install with the built in software, when you click on it, 'Installing...' comes up but then I am told its an invalid package file. I also renamed it to .pkg to try the Mpkg installer we all use, but then it just sits there, no confirmation or error. I will play around with it a bit more and report back.

    VAlkur,

I was looking those files. Did you copy everything to your MicroSD card?

I noticed the RAR files has the following structure inside:
    <ROOT>
    - CarelandNaviMain.dll
    - CNVFONT.BIN
    -install_chinesse.mpkg
    -NAVIMAP.CLD
    -NAVIPARM.CLD
    -VOICEWAVE.VPK
<POI DATA FOLDER> inside this folder there are many .POI files

So did you put all those files inside your TransFlash?

If someone can find out how to install that and put it working in the A1200, please let me know.

I'm also interested in knowing if we run the GPS outside Thailand, because it seem those maps are for Thay area. In case of other country, what would happen?

Maybe someone can prepare maps for that...

investigating it , I just found that POI files are usually from Garmin or Destinator GPS .

Maybe someone can get some maps for other regions and check if it work...

Ya, I copied all the files, I'm wondering if they maybe have to be in a certain path or if there is something that is missing in our firmware that its looking for. Anyone know which firmware the holux version runs on?

I have a map of the US for tomtom 6. It's is an 1.2 gb folder with POI and stuff.
What format does this mapping software use?? And it so happens I bought a Holux bluetooth GPS device just to get it to work with tomtom6 on my pda. It would be sweet if I can use my phone instead
