I had a problem where the M-lights of my Motorola HT820 where not lightling up and dimming when they were conected like they used to. (My friend had noticed it they stopped illuminating as it always caught his eye.. Anyways.)
I dloaded the firmware ht820.rar . Unzipped and ran it,, had no problems connecting the unit according one of the first posts,, was simple quick and easy...
1. make sure HT820 is off.
2. connect "mini usb to usb cable" into PC.
DO NOT CONNECT HT820 YET!!!
3. with the HT820 still off,, hold down forward and back to together.
(to stop the confusion its the side with the mini usb input)
Now that you have them pressed down insert the mini usb into the input.
M-lights should start flashing,, this means its connected to PC and ready
for a firmware update.
4. Run the firmware update software (DFUWizard.exe) it will detect your
headset. Choose RECOMMENDED setting,, it will also choose and detect
which DFU file automatically depending on you unit version,,,
Anyways it worked for me,, units lighting up like it used to. The original firmware I had was from 2005.. the latest and seems to be the last is from 2006. Also never had a problem with skipping when connected to my iPod using Naviplay+,, only time it does skip is when i disconnect my BT on my iPhone 3G.. have it also connected to my PS3 with no problems pairing,, although the unit is a lil dorky,, its an awesome unit. |
