[INFO] Flashing with RSD Lite & Troubleshooting Guide

Trying to flash my A1200E phone but RSD lite v. 4.2 won't recognize my phone.
It's in MBM mode, but hitting "Show Device" seem sto do nothing.
I've tried several different ways to connect it and get it to find the phone... yet nothing seems to work.
I've also looked thru pages & pages of threads in the RSD lite flashing guide... but haven't come acroos any solutions to this problem yet.
Anyone out there got a suggestion...?

hi nirav1971,
all you need to do is to follow several easy steps (please mind this will work only in case your FW supports autorun):

1) get your flash card out of the phone and connect it to PC with the cardreader or whatever

2) download this archive and unpack autorun.txt from it to the root of your flash card*

*if your firmware is Gizmoto then you need to rename autorun.txt to s60 and place it to [.gizmoto] folder

3) insert flash card card back into the headset and power it on

If this trick does not work you would need to find a linuxer who will connect to your phone via Samba and manually do everything described in this autorun file.
That's it.

* Did flashing say it was successful?
* Is it doing absolutely nothing when you try to turn it on - even when plugged into charge or USB??
* Can you get it into MBM mode?
* Was battery fully charge before flash?
* Have you plugged phone into charger and left it overnight.
* Did you try taking out battery and reinserting (per sticky)

1. No, phone disconnect error, because of the low battery, it died while flashing

4. No, probably why I cannot get the battery to charge
5. Yes, but it does not appear to hold the charge or will not do anything with that charge (will not go into red screen)

I just need ideas on how to use what battery power I have left to turn on the red screen or a way to charge the battery directly. I already ordered a battery off of ebay (gonna take forever) and I just wanted to know is there any ways to charge my battery on my phone that has no firmware.

i cant get rsd lite to recognize amin's EE firmware, it recognizes other fws like bints 08 plus but it cant recognize amins. ive downloaded the firmware over and over thinking it was corrupt but that wasn't the case. any ideas?

hey i have flashed my phone to from 22p to 8p.everything works well ....only the camera does not work at all.when using rsdlite it did'nt ask me for any of the drivers but automatically installed some drivers and said pass...what shld i do someone help........

what exactly happens when you try and use the camera? also, anytime you flash and loose functuionality regardless of "pass" message, you should always re-flash to see if that solves the problem. (I would recommend flashing to Amins Extreme Elite anyway, it's about hte best FW available)
