I had the same problem too. I refused spend more money to buy a new case. Instead, I used a small knife to neatly remove the magnets. Then i attached velcro to close my case. After that, no more disrupted calls!
So between me and my friends we figured out the magnets on our phone cases must be disrupting the signal when we pull it out of the pouch.
Found the answer here to we must be right...
What cases do you guys use that DON'T disrupt the call?
the one we have is by momex and it's similar to the motorola one except there are 2 strong magnets instead of one.

so it is the magnets in the cases that is causing my phone to drop the calls after a ring or two....at times people would have to call me twice because the first time the phone would just lose the reception.....
Ok, just nice i took out my camera so i took a few pictures. did not start a new topic because i don't want to flood the place, but for people who want to know, this is what i use, and its still in PERFECT condition till now, 'cept the area where i pull the stylus out.
Anyone else having scratches at the place you pull out your stylus? i have it because i use my fingernails to pull it out most of the time.
Anyway this is the pouch i use, very snug.
does any one have the OEM motorola leather case? Does that still bother the phone since it has magnets? I really want a case for it to protect the front and back... So i figured a leather case would do.. but I hear alot of complaints of magnets.. But again does anyone have the official motorola leather case and still experience problems?

I think Motorola has not yet released any accessories for the A1200 because when you try to go to the online store for the accessories link on the Ming homepage it directs you back to the first page, all links are dead. So I think that there is not yet an official carry case for the A1200.
I believe this one is OEM but then again it says its for both v3x and a1200..

They are putting that info just to make people purchase it for the A1200. Both phones have different dimensions (V3x 99 x 55 x 20 mm, A1200 95.7 x 51.7 x 21.5 mm), furthermore, I believe that this is an OEM Motorola leather case that might fit the V3x or the A1200 but it's not officially released for either of them.
yea its a shame... I just really want a nice case for the phone... I looked at the clip someone showed me.. but it will still get damaged like that.. so i would rather get a leather case.. Any suggestions?

Unfortunately not yet. Nothing has surfaced yet that was specifically made for the A1200, I have done alot of searching and found nothing except for the silicon cases (you can find them on boxwave, pdaden and ebay). And you are right that clip would definitely damage the back cover of the phone (mostly due to the rubbery nature of the black A1200 casing). I hope that something better emerges soon.
