A1200 w/ T-MobileWeb speed?

How is the speed of the internet access of the A1200 with T-MobileWeb? Is it relatively slow or acceptable? I recently got the Ming and left out internet access on my plan, but if I get good responses I might add the $5.99 service feature.

I am sure it can't compare DSL or cable speed. Overall it is slow but acceptable for me.

If the A1200 supported EDGE I have already bought it, but now i'm still in doubt if I will buy the Motorola A1200 or the Qtek S200 who has EDGE.

So will the A1200 considerable slower with normal GPRS or do you notice scarcely the difference on normaal web browsing?

It is comparable to 56k dial-up......I believe the actual transfer rate is in the 40's can't remembe exactly....

I bought it because it's the best looking phone right now....

it's slow, unfortunately...EDGE itself is slow, of course, since we're all now used to broadband and GPRS is even slower than that...imagine going back and using 28.8k dial up at home and that's what GPRS is like

you can, however, speed it up tremendously by using Opera Mini or Opera Mobile...both compress graphics and pages so you download less

but IMO, being a past owner of an A1200, i just couldn't take it and sold it for something with EDGE and WiFi
