INFO: How to fix Realplayer playlist song limit

It didn`t work to me too! Does this hack work on mischka`s 8p FW?

If I edit my original ezx_realplayer.cfg, there aren`t entries with `MaxNuOf...`.

If I load the available .lin, everything seems fine... 2 ezx_realplayer.cfg (deleted the old one). But when I run Real Player, all the limitations still enabled! If I edit the new ezx_realplayer.cfg, it`s just like the original file that I deleted! Real Player replaces the hacked file with another one.

I tried to change languages (I use Portuguese) to English but still the same result.

I did it with 08p and 49p L4 modded fw and it worked without problem. I used the realplayer.cfg file from download section.

Did you rename the new file, without changing name, before starting realplayer?

Yeah, I did everything on the walkthrough... but as soon as I start the Real Player, the .cfg is replaced by a copy just like the old one.

Tryed to do it even with Real Player runing... no luck!

I reinstalled linloader, mpkg, downloaded the realplayer files from the download section and tryed again.

Guess I had wrong instalation/version of the programs!

Interesting.. I did not see that before... but.. I kinda played arround, and basicly did almost the same thing.. I took the data you had for the A1200, and put some different #'s in my a780's default ezx_realplayer.cfg file using vi..

and it seems to let me put more in the playlist.. so I guess my question is.. where do the numbers come from?

Below is what I put in just after VolumeLevel = 0 and just before [MediaProxyItem]
it seems to work.. but I just wonder if people have tried certain settings and had better luck, or if the higher numbers may have caused some issues.. (the numbers in the modified .cfg for the A1200 seem much higher than that in the A780 and I wondered if there was a good reason for that..)

I am following up all the steps but there is still a problem. I am stuck. All good up to step 10. then in RealPlayer I can see my playlists and the .cfg file is is being replaced with the old one. So, I would have to start from the beginning but no luck again.. Any ideas?

Ok, I cranked the MaxNumberOfItem, MaxNumberOfList, and MaxNumberOfMediaFile all up to 999. I didn't want to go past that due to possible problems with that 4 place. Also, the MaxNumberOfBookmark was cranked to 500 as I got it from deadlysyns and the MaxNumberOfHistory to 20.

Now lets see, soup to nuts...here is what I ended up having to do.

1. Go to the download section and download the realplayer.zip or realplayer.rar file (take your pick of compression archivers- they contain the same files). That includes the modified .cfg file as noted above and the .lin file I got from deadlysyns which I think linelock made... save that file to your computer

2. Unzip that file and remember where you unzip it to.

3. Save the resulting .cfg file and .lin file to the root folder of your transflash card (when you access your card through file manager, you should see the files without going through any other folders.

4. You need to have linloader installed. Open the realplayer.lin file with lin loader by tapping on the .lin file

5. Wait approximately 30 seconds. Linloader makes no doorbell like noise, so you just wait a bit...

6. Go through file manager to your Tflash card. Tap and hold on the .cfg file you just put there to see how big it is note that value for step 9 later (in my phone the .cfg file shows up as 631bytes)

7. Using "Mystuff" on your phone, go to the following directory in the root of your phone: ezx_user/download/appwrite/setup/

8. There should be two ezx_realplayer.cfg files. If there aren't go back to the .lin file you put on your transflash card and tap the lin file again. Wait longer this time.

9. If there are two ezx_realplayer.cfg files, tap and hold on the first one. Go to properties and see how big it is. If it isn't the same as what you noted in step 6, delete it. Then on the other ezx_realplayer.cfg file tap and hold. Go to properties to double check the size. It should be the same.

10. Tap and hold again on the remaining ezx_realplayer.cfg file. Select "rename" and then without changing anything select "save" at the bottom of your screen.

11. Go into realplayer. If you had a playlist before, it should be gone now. Open files, create a playlist and count the number of entries. You should now be able to make a 999 item playlist. Create your playlist however you desire and save it, enjoy not having stupid limits on Realplayer anymore.

Checks:
Then I shut my phone down and restarted it to make sure my playlist and my new .cfg file were both present after a shutdown/reboot cycle. They were.

Cleanup:
While listening to my newly created playlist, I went back to my trans flash card, saw that the .cfg file and the .lin file were still there from step 3. I deleted them. Now I can get on with my life and not hate stupid limits on my phone's media player.
