  1. Default Got my A1200 to Sync w/my Mac Address Book OSX via Bluetooth

Sorry if this is a repost, but I got my Mac Book (OS X 10.4.6) Address book to export to my A1200 Contacts.

First you need to setup up the Bluetooth connection (this should work via USB also, but I didn't try).

    To setup the Bluetooth Connection:

    1. Turn your A1200 Bluetooth to Discoverable
    2. Turn your Mac's Bluetooth on (Menu bar upper left near Spotlight)
    3. In your Mac's Bluetooth Drop Down Menu (same place where you turned the Bluetooth on) click "Setup Bluetooth Device"
    4. Follow the Bluetooth Assistant to connect to your A1200 (My Mac Book found my A1200 as Motorola "Ming" - The Chinese Characeter)
    5. When setting up the Bluetooth Device I selected to sync Address Book & to use the A1200 as a Modem

Sending Address Book Entries to A1200 Contacts:

    1. In your Mac's Address Book export (File > Export vCard) each entry individually to a folder. If you select all your entries and export you will get one file. Using that one file didn't work for me when sending to the A1200.

    2. In your Mac's Bluetooth Drop Down Menu click "Send File..."

    3. Select the exported Address Book Entries and click "Send". You can choose 1, a few or all of your entries.

    4. In the Bluetooth File Exchange window that popped up you should see Motorola "Ming" - The Chinese Character. Highlight Motorola "Ming" and click "Send"

    5. Now go to your A1200 and you should received a message asking you if you would like to accept a file from your "computer" (whatever you named it when using the Bluetooth Assistant). Click "OK"

    6. Next You will see each Address book entry open up in your contacts. You will need to accept each contact individually and after you have accepted each entry you will have to click save for every one.

While this processes isn't ideal and somewhat tedious it works. If you have a lot of contacts in your address book you might want to do them in batches. I did about 150 in one shot without any problem.

Hopefully someone who is more mac-savy or A1200-savy can figure out a way to send the whole file list so you don't have to click accept and save each time.

    - Enjoy

Archangel: Thanks a bunch. Good to see more and more Mac users who own the phone. It's reassuring. Can't wait to get my phone. Hopefully this week.
    Keep the tips coming...
    Cheers,

    Raj
