Need Help on the Firmware

Hello Everyone. i need yall help . please.
i had 46 Firmware on my Cell . it was english . i was so stupid not to read enough , and i got my self the new China Mobile Firmware 48 . now i'm in trouble . no Voice Commands no internet . nothing . its just a bunch of nice chincese letters i dont even understand.

can someone help me and tell me where do i get any english nonbrand firmeware? any version. even verison 1.0.0.0 (j/K)

I dont think anyone has been able to find a generic firmware release yet. If it makes you feel better though your not the only one who has done this.

If you go into Setup > Language and choose English (not automatic) your voice commands should work again.

You will have to setup your Internet again as well as your MMS settings, there are plenty of threads in this forum that should be able to tell you everything you need to know.

thank you . this is where i got the 48P . and phone setup with english . not Auto. i did try that. but the voice commands dosnt work . and the Internetnet dosnt work . and i did follow the cingular thing on the forum. and still not working. so there is no one in the US has that phone with nonbrand firmware? no way . are you serious? i cant belive that. i even did try to remove the china mobile thing by adding the .system folder on my SD card. and it says BAD loader.

please help me out guys. thanks

Lots of people have unbranded firmware, but at the moment there is no way of taking the firmware off of one phone to put onto another like they have done with the e680i's and the only firmware files that have been released so far are china mobile.

Have you setup your data connections in setup? and once you have done that did you setup your profile in the browser?

ok . now the internet and MMS are working . how do i remove the China Mobile Brand . i did try to replace the .system folder and reboot . and it now says Bad Loader. can you help?

I am using the loader that is uploaded on this thread http://www.motorolafans.com/index.ph...ewtopic&t=4461 and it works fine for me, might be worth a try.

Now as far as removing the china mobile branding, you can replace the startup and shutdown graphics, uninstall some of the apps but thats about it.

So you had generic 46p? why did you go to 48p then if you had 46p?
