where is a list of about 20 files like that:

What to do with then? Just cat together and rename them to exe?

Running live Update from within Motorola Phone Tools
presents me an update
from 4.04 to 4.21a
Running the update fails with the message:

The Update module has intercepted an errror:
The Update engine is not installed !

Any workaround for the update engine error?

Did this update work for yoU? Im having problems getting MPT to recognize the a1200 as it is not listed as a recognizable phone with the current version im using (motorola phone tools enu 3.30). When I do live update however it does not find the new 4.1 upgrade. Is there a phone that is compatible with the ming that I can choose from the current list?

i have 4.1.2a It says its the latest when i try to do a liveupdate. Chrisdee what updates does it offer you?

AFter doing a little searching on the net it seems anyone who does not have the 4.1 version of MPT is not able to use it with their a1200. I had also seen where others have said the a1200 is simular settings wise to the razr, and apps of the a780. I tried choosing these phones from the list that MPT recognizes and use that as my current phone to see if I could transfer my files that way, and still nothing.
I think right now I have MPT using the e760i? just so I could operate the program, which I am able to do but when it comes to transfering what i've just made it gives an error saying it cannot send. I'm sure its because I have a different phone showing rather than what it is trying to send to (my a1200).
The last time I switched my "modem" or phone from the list, I got another option to upgrade to 4.04 which I have about 15 minutes left on. I have yet to be able to upgrade to 4.1, but im trying to get there.

After the 4.04 update finished it automatically started to search for another update, and found 4.21. I did the update and now everything seems to be working perfectly. It brought up the picture of the a1200 as my phone and i've already started doing the tranfering. Thanks to all of you and previous similar post I think everything is working great now.

I have a problem with installing MPT 4.1. I just got my a1200 and cannot install MPT successfully.

need a little bit more than that, what is the problem? Is your installation of the program interrupted by something saying it cannot complete the process?

Yes it is. In fact I installed it on another windows box and it installed perfectly. It is not a bad MPT cd, as I thought. On mine however I get a missing dll error. So I think I have to repair my windows first?!


Edit: Yes I had to reinstall windows to get my MPT to work. I cannot however get my bluetooth to connect via MPT. It will connect to the computer but not the program. And how does one modify calendar entries on ones computer without the phone being plugged in? Or is everyone using a different caledar program?
