Anyone try A780 mpkg applications on the A1200?

There are a few programs I've been looking for on the A780 using mpkg, I was just wondering if anyone has gotten them to work on the A1200.

No one can tell me if mpkg programs work on the A1200? I tried searching this forum for 'mpkg' and came up with well basically unsucessful results.

I tried a mpkg, did not worked. Said it was unsupported...

Noromamai's copy of the MSN mpkg installed fine for me using the loader included with the themes package. Still cant get it to connect but thats a different puzzle.

mpkg packages seem to work out of the box, since the msn and motohand (what the theme installer is based on) both are mpkg packages. but mpkg made for other phones don't seem to work. which means the phone checks whether the mpkg package is for the a1200 or not. so no, a780 prolly won't work (prolly coz i only tried 1 or 2). but... a mpkg file is just a .tgz (.tar.gz), so you can always try putting the files on your phone manually and then hack away at either the msn or theme install entry in the SysRegistry untill it will load the app you wanted to install.
