  1. Default Finally got it to run a script... here's how

Other people have managed it before, but not everything was as clear. I've finally managed to make it run a few commands and there probably are some other people here who would like to play around with that as well.

It's best to start without any other apps installed, that way you can just copy the contents of exploit.zip into the root of your microSD card. If you already have other apps installed, copy the directory ".system\QTDownLoad\2" onto your microSD card. and add the contents of ".system\java\CardRegistry" to the end of your CardRegistry file.

Now edit ".system\QTDownLoad\2\loader" to make it run the commands you want it to.

I haven't been able to make it invoke other scripts (yet), no idea why it doesn't work. If someone else manages, please let me know how. It's a pain hook it up to the PC to edit the loader script each time.

All this is based on the themes changer found in another thread on this forum.

Right now the loader script in exploit.zip will run "ls -R /" and dump the output into /mmc/mmca1/tmp/output.txt (don't forget to make the 'tmp' dir on your microSD card).

Hope this will help out some people, so they won't have to spend a couple of days trying to get it all to work (like i did).

I was also having problems running scripts on my A1200 ... then the theme modification thread was posted here in the forum. The loader used to load the themes can be used to run scripts such as "ls /r".
I created a script to ls the root directory and saved it as a txt and ran it using the loader ... and it worked !
