    Default Orange Screen of Death??

I got my A1200 yesterday. It worked great, until today. When I tried to turn my phone on, it when straight into the 'MBM flash mode' a.k.a. the orange screen of death. I looked all over the forum on how to get out of this mode and all I found is how to get into this mode (to upgrade the firmware). Everyone seems very knowledgable in this forum, so I am afraid if you guys can't solve my problem, no one can...

I tried that. It went straight back to the MBM flash mode. Thanks for the reply though.

Have you tried to mod the phone in anyway, thinking that it runs as a normal P2K phone? For instance, maybe seem editing it and caused a corruption in the OS.

it should only go into flash mode if you trigger it to do so, as far as i know. Maybe if the flash bootloader is corrupt, it goes to flash mode as an alternative? Take it to a moto service center and have them reflash it, or try to reflash yourself. There are some images floating around the a1200 forum. you can find the moto flash tools on google

Thanks for the suggestions. I was thinking about flashing my A1200 but it seems too complicated. So I didn't try to mod the phone in any way. If the bootloader is currupt, I guess I have no choice. I called a few service centers where I live and they don't have the firmware for the A1200 yet. I looked around this forum and couldn't find the firmware. The links in the "a1200 firmware" thread didn't work.

    try reflashing the phone.
firmware links were on free download server.
the new v44 firmware will be uploaded in the next few hours, try flashing with that.

If your bootloader is corrupt, the 1 Flash File(1FF) will not resolve your problem. If run out of solutions, PM me.

I think I just flashed my phone. I used RSD Lite and it finally said it was sucessful. Thanks for V44. Unfortunately as it tried to reboot the phone, the phone went back to the MBM flash mode. The first line says "BP_NOT_READY". I think you're right about the corrupt bootloader. Things just keep getting worse and worse. Any suggestions?

BP_NOT_READY means something wrong with your BP processor.
This means either faulty BP or faulty connection somewhere in between.
No flash will help you at this point.
Note: no service flash will reflash your bootloader. Neither 1ff nor full. The reason is simple - there is absolutely no need to do so, since bootloader only serves as a middle-man for loading another program from the computer. Since you succeeded to flash your phone, it means bootloader is intact and working as it should.

For now, your only option is to bring the phone to a repair shop or to a service center.
If Integra-t has access to repair service outside China, maybe he can help you with that.
