Will all of those applications work? Or will only certain ones (ones that are compatible with the limited number of buttons) work? And is there any way to know which ones those are? Besides trial and error.
They may all work, but they aren't all for the one-button configuration. I've just had to find out with trial and error. Some of them have a description that will give you an idea of the buttons, some of them don't.Will all of those applications work? One thing I downloaded which is quite cool is a Google map that can show you via street maps or satellite pics anywhere in the world - it's a bit slow in downloading sometimes, but fun to check out.
Other things I downloaded are games... of course.![]()
...just to save someone the time in figuring it out - the aquarium and the virtual pets on the site (getjar.com) are crap. very dumb.![]()
Does Mobile Fighter work and is it good? also the file types for downloading to PC is .jar and .jad Do I gotta extract them or something? How do you install the games/software? Just put them in the transflash section(memory card)? Which filetype should I use and what's the difference .jar or .jad?
You just need to copy the .JAR file to your tflash card, and in your phone's application launcher, click and hold until the menu pop up, then choose "install"
The .JAR is a file format use by Java (not just J2ME) which is a convinent way to distribute application. .JAD is a "descriptor" file describing how a particular java application should be deploy.
Some phone (my guess is those "non-smart" java capable phones, not sure) need both file to install a java app, A1200 only need the .JAR
