    Hi,
What version of the phone tools are you using? I've have heard people say that version 4.11(?) has some issues with Ming phones.

Also, how are you connecting the phone to your computer? By USB cable? Or by Bluetooth?

If your 512mb card isn't recognized, that sounds serious to me. I don't know exactly but I would guess that is a hardware problem.

Any more information you can give will help.

    thanx for answering ...
my version of motorola tool is 4.1.2a and i'm connecting ( trying to connect !! ) by usb
for the card , it's still not recognized : when i tap on the " device status " , after scrolling down i read : memory card : Unavailable. despite the card is in the phone and full of files ( mp3, .doc...)

One thing you could try is putting the phone in USB Mass Storage mode. That should let the phone connect to your pc like any USB device with memory. It would be like an extra drive in My Computer. But if your card isn't being detected by the phone, then it might not work because there is no memory to access.

My advice would be to check all the forums for other people with the same problem as you. I remember reading in the HowardForums.com Ming forum about other people having trouble with PhoneTools. They sound buggy to me, not well tested by Motorola.
