That is a motorola mpx 220. I had one before I got this phone.
Why do people keep posting they have 46P but don't give any leads where to get it or just share it with the community?
maybe they got there phone with 46P pre-installed?!?
so i got telnetd crosscompiled for the a1200 and it works great! im working on a more updated kernel with the openEXZ drivers. Also working on compiling OPIE, then I'll start on a real X server. However, since no one is in the mood to share anything here, i guess i'll keep my work to myself anyway. So much for this being a community.
Hi, just got my Ming yesterday, it came with the 44P firmware. As far as I can tell there is no branding at all, everything seems like generic Motorola. I thought they were all China Mobile branded. Oh well I'm not complaining

Yeah mine is completed unbranded from software to the actual casing of the phone.
Hi just bought a A1200 in Shanghai. Although buying in an official motorola shop it is customized for China Mobile, and worst, I am missing shorcuts to messenger, file manager, browser. Is this because of China Mobile customization?
I have read that updating to firmware 46P removes china mobile. I would really appreciate if someone can send me (borja.rpe@gmail.com) the required files (firmware update plus any required file to do it) and instructions for dummies? Many thanks!!
supposedly, if you use one of the providers that have access, you can use the webbrowser on the phone to go to 'mymobilesoft download fun', should be in your bookmarks (otherwise try hk.mymobilesoft.com) and from there you can download an msn update, which will install to your phone. oh, and it's all in chinese...
supposedly, coz i am not in china and not using any of the chinese providers, therefor i can't browse the website properly.
if you can, try to save the msn package somewhere and upload it for us all to use.
below a pdf with a screenshot walkthru.
and again... it only works if you are with one of the chinese providers, so dont' bother to try if you are not, coz i already have. if you're not, perhaps a cheap prepaid card of one of the providers would work?
