In the setup application you have your Ming's USB mode set to mass storage correct?
ok so i got the a1200 phone...i'm trying to copy files to it but when i connect the phone through usb the phone isn't recognized on my linux machine...i'm running redhat workstation 4...the e680i however was always recognized on the same machine...i always found it under /media/MOTO_680i...with the a1200 however i can't access the phone at all...any ideas?

yes...it's set to mass storage mode...
The Mac gets into that state of not recognizing the Ming as well.
I have to reboot the Mac and Ming and then things stay stable for a few days (almost a week now after the most recent borking.)
I'd check your system logs and see if they reveal why the Linux kernel is unhappy.
You can also try the experiment of taking the microSD card out and slipping it into the SD adaptor and seeing if the card will mount under your Linux system. If it won't mount that way then perhaps Linux doesn't like the format of the FAT filesystem on the card.
well i'd stick with checking the log files as the phone wasn't recognized even without the microSD...
I just got mine today. I found that if I go into setup, set it for modem, save then set it back for mass storage, then the computer would pick it up. Weired!
interesting...i tried exactly that and it works! now that's one serious bug...i noticed however that only when the microSD is installed will there exist some point under which i can copy stuff...different in a way from e680i...Originally Posted by misterbuntakun
My A1200 can´t connect on Mass USB Mode (just recognize on MPT). But I´m using Win 2003, and didn´t tried XP yet...
If on Modem Mode, it recognizes the right way.
I tried to install the MPKG program as explained in the stickies. However after i changed the system file, then unplugged and restart, the SD card isnt being recognised anymore. I have restarted many times, still no luck. Not sure how i can put the old .system file on it as it isnt being read. Any ideas? thanks
[quote="Broken"]Finally got mine to sync.... I noticed that Auto Launch wasn't checked under Modem in the application launcher tab. Checked it and it now connects. Can finally connect with MPT.
