Default Please help the tech challenged new guy

I just got my A1200 yesterday. I ordered black and got white but it's not as bad as I thought. I could really use some help with the technical aspects of the phone. I have a list of questions[which are probably simple for most of you guys but I don't have a clue about]. Please help if you can

    1. When I try to start the dictionary it gives me a message that says Please copy dictionary data to preload directory on the phone or the / of the tarns flash card. What does that mean?

    2. I was supposed to get 512 MB card with my phone but didn't[DON'T BUY FROM WIRELESS IMPORTS THEY SUCK]. is there a reliable place to buy one?

3.Two cds were included. One says phone tools the other says real player and video producer. My phone has real player already installed do I still need to use these two disks?

    4. What settings do I need to access my Tmobile tzones on the a1200[tmobile was no help]?

I know these might be stupid questions but please help my tech stupid ass out. Thanks Guys

Hi there. Can't answer all you questions, but the one about the dictionary is easy enough. Check the forums here. A copy of the dictionary has been uploaded. Just drag and drop it to your phone memory when the phone is connected in USB mass storage mode.

    Good luck!!!

    Question#3
Yes, on the real player CD is a Conversion Tool to convert video files (.avi, etc) in order for the real player tool to play them on the phone

    Question#1
You should have gotten a CD with longman Database to copy onto your phone or card...I do not suggest copying until you get a Memory card to avoid using up memory on your phone thus slowing it down

The empty text message when you get a voicemail is a known problem. I don't think anybody has found a fix for it yet. Some phones do it some don't.

    To Brooklyn:
On my A1200 I don't see WAP GW IP setting for MMS at all.
What kind of A1200 do you have? With Chine Mobile version of firmware or with something else?
