Actually the Ming has to be capable of moving data in and out of the card fast enough to take advantage of any extra speed from the faster card. In fact the Ming might not even be running full speed on a standard card.
An example would be if you had a hard disk capable of 15 MBps hooked to your computer via USB 1.0 which can do roughly 1.5 MBps. If you go and buy a hard disk drive that can do 30 MBps you won't notice any difference because both hard disk drives are being limited by the USB speed of 1.5 MBps.
