Exclamation Fingerpad (3 skins at the same time!)

    Hello,

I have been trying to use the IPhone-like skin of Fingerpad in it's "common" version (I mean, the one that doesn't have vibration support since it wasn't working on my phone). I found some problems trying to do so...

It seems that both versions of Fingerpad doesn't read the .cfg files the same way so I tried to rewrite part of it in order to use it. In fact it was working with other skins so I tried to copy from them the format of the files but it still doesn't work.

I have added two additional skins (the IPhone keyboard, a normal keyboard with 3 character on each button and a numerical one) so you don't have to reinstall it every time you want to use a different one. The idea is to make it works with all of them. Maybe I will have to add some buttons to make it easier to change from one to another but first it has to work!

I couldn't find neither the documentation nor the source code so it's almost impossible to guess what is wrong. The problem is that when you choose the Fingerpad input method the image is not loaded so you can't use it (you don't see any button!).

Here are the files: http://www.mediafire.com/?1eb88cdyc958ttr. I have renamed all of them to make it easier to understand how it works and I added an install.sh script so you can put this directory in your SD and the using eKonsole install it in that way: sh /mmc/mmca1/Fingerpad/install.sh (it's pretty easy, just run the script!).

Additionally, it would be great to be able to add an input method and keep the others as well. Is there any list of available input methods so you can add Fingerpad instead of overwrite the default numerical method?

Any idea in that matter would be helpful!

well finger-pad is just a simple alternative to native keyboard as the native keyboard layout is too small to be used to type from fingers and you have to use stylus to use the default keyboard on phone so many EZX developers have created finger-pad I don't remember the name actually
since the default finger-pad in phone is only shown up when you search names in contact but that can not be changed so we use to mount finger-pad library on number-board library as we can use finger-pad in replacement to number pad and number-pad is widely available as input method throughout the phone as default keyboard.

if you need finger-pad library source let me know it is already available for download
    here is the link http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?u40n2uu7c781sp6
and you can modify as per your wish let me see what you can make this thing to
just edit the .cfg files and the layout to make a Chinese version I think it will need time and some hard work but it will worth to you . I can not help in that as I don't know Chinese sorry about that I hope this help

    Thank you so much!

With the source code I will be able to read about the correct format of the .cfg files at least (with the help of a Russian translator as I can see...).

Just in case, is it open source? I couldn't find its page/main_thread if it has one.

I wonder if Fingerpad is open source. In other words, if it's available somewhere (besides this thread) and if it's ethically correct if I change it in some way.

    Thank you.
