PC connection problem

Hello everybody.

Am having PC connection problem with my A1200.

When i plug the phone to the USB cable and to the PC with MPT version 5.5, it says unknown phone model detected!!!!

Please help.

Since when you are facing problem? Did you flash your phone? Problem might be with PC or with phone's firmware. If you have not flashed, & all of sudden if MPT is not detecting then problem with PC. Re-installing os will solve your problem, If after flashing to new firmware then better try different firmware

Actually I just got the phone as gift.
The phone is from Puerto Rico or USA configured for Telcel.
Am from Mauritius and using a local GSM SIM card.

I have a PC with Windos 7 Ultimate and MPT 5.5.

Since the very first time I connected the USB cable and the motoming to the PC, only the battery is charging?? Nothing else happening and the phone indicates " Data Storage Mode"

connect in modem mode go to settings->USB mode-> modem

and then connect your phone to PC and then Motorola Phone tools will detect the phone

Sorry dude but am still having the same problem!!!!

try different USB port

Master Clear your phone
Master Reset your phone and then try may be that solves the problem
