Phone restarts when connected to GPRS

I had recently repaired my phone(A1200) from a local mobile repair person. It had many prob. like digitizer not working earpiece, battery,etc. after adding new dizitizer the calibration was not working. The guy said i should reset the phone, so i did. But now my GPRS is not working. The calibration is fine now after reset, but when i try to connect to GPRS i.e. from browser, the browser exits, screen gets dim & phone restarts. The "G" icon on the status bar is also grey. Same thing (restart) when i try to connect to data n/w from setup. This did not happen before reset, it worked fine.

Can any 1 help me solv this prob. the guy who repaired my phone said i have to flash new f/w. what should i do

well first see which track your phone is on currently like its having C2 H2 or E track firmware

and then flash the firmware of same track as suggested by the repair shop well you can read flashing guides and stickies for more information on how to flash

thnx kundan & ya i had flashed earlier. from 08p generic to blint's 08p. its C2 track i suppose. i dont have all the stuff like those s/w's the f/w files etc. moreover i dont have that time to d/w all again. will do that later(if required). i just wanted to know why this happened. does "reset" cause any problem. & how to solve it without flashing.

& ya i want to add that the shop guy dosent know much(i think) of motoming. he did not know all the technical terms also. its a very small shop.

basically they are not professionals they learn a bit from the one who have already learned to repair phones

I don't think so it is caused by reset but may be technical problems have no reasons until you know how to debug so better go for simple things well if you need more help let me know

ya u r wright these ppl r not prof. but here all r same. motorola service is very bad in India. & i dint want the repair 2 b 2 costly, so...
i love this phone very much so want 2 use it still (using from 4yrs)
the GPRS was working good before repair (before reset) coz i was using it.
i need the phone for net only (& the gr8 app from this forum)

hey kundan now that i have some time i flashed to ur f/w.. but not done... i mean, the RSD lite asked me to manually reboot the phone, i did so but after restart i was not getting good graphics. (it was like a bad screen)
then connecting the phone to pc i did not get any complete or fail or any msg the RSD lite is just sticks 2 the same msg (reboot). moreover the phone gives good (original) graphics of ur f/w but it hangs. i cant do anything. i have no option but to reboot it & again the same thing.
i thought smthng might b wrong wile flashing so repeated it 3 times but same thing...
plz help me....

Uninstall old version before installing new versions

Please update your Motorola USB Driver to : http://www.motorola.com/staticfiles/..._bit_4.6.5.zip

and RSD Lite to : rsdlite_4.8.msi

and then flash again if it fails try flashing 08p generic firmware and then try again
