    Default Need Help Installing App

I have read many forums and tried many different methods to install Fingerpad for my A1200e but have never had success. In fact my firmware version does not show up on anything and I do not know if it supports start up scripts. The firmware version is r514L7_g_11.00.13RBP. Anyone have any ideas on how to help me out or at least point me to a firmware that I should upgrade to which is better than this one. Thanks

first of all your firmware must support installed applications so that you can install applications and run them...

    first install ekonsole anyhow....
then copy the fpad folder where it is asked to and fpad library where it is asked to.... then use the mount --bind command and you are ready to go... hope you like it

for more information just go to application section and read the fingerpad thread complete...

if you still have doubts ask here

I appreciate the response and as I am not very knowledgeable in this area appreciate all the help I can get. I have been able to install many applications such as smart assistant, themes, etc. by following advice through the forums. However no matter what way I try does not seem to work. I had installed the Yan0 start up program but didn't know really what to do. I even did the Ekonsole before I wrote this message with little success. I guess it is tough because everyone has different ways of executing it and I am not even sure if my firmware supports it. But if I cannot get it on it is not a loss because I have always loved this phone.

Thanks for the help Kundancool. I am just going to wait for the help from my buddy who is more familiar with these kinds of things. I went the Yan0 startup route by installing that program and trying to use the RunScript but I could never get the RunScript to show up as something to start at boot. So I will just be patient until my buddy can take a peek.
