I just wanted to protect my cellphone from any viruses. My brother's USB Flashdrive was just inserted here yesterday and BitDefender + Microsoft Security Essentials found several viruses of which they were able to remove. It's still a possibility that at least one virus slipped pass those two softwares so I'm looking for an antivirus software for my Ming.
Dude, the antivirus you've uploaded is corrupted. . .

well First of all if you use your phone in mass storage mode then there is a problem of virus for your PC not for your ming as our ming has LINUXwhich has no effect of virus at all like any simbian or java type softwares....
and if you want to have an antivirus for your ming it is impossible but another options are available...
like a application which can delete virus like files.... like any WINDOWS/DOS executable can be deleted or Autorun.inf (common virus) they can be deleted by using some application or script files and if you use these application then be carefull not to keep your good things in those format like don't keep
any setup if software or application on your SD card... while it would be deleted with other"*.exe" files on SD...
so if you want such an application then tell me I will give you one...

I kinda doubt it. It's true that LINUX might not understand Windows Apps but viruses, malwares etc are made not to be noticed at all. I mean, even Windows wouldn't know if the computer has virus unless an antivirus software do the scanning. LINUX is just probably isn't used by many people that's why no one says that there are viruses or malwares on LINUX.

Well now I think I must say this......
COMUPTER AREDEAF AND DUMB
They only do what you say them to do...
What are viruses?
Ans: Viruses are actually vulnerable commands which affect the settings how the computer work...
like a virus is a program which just uses more CPU to make your computer work slow.... that what a virus is....
while other viruses are same as with other programming types and purposes....
so don't panic if you use LINUX...
as there is no virus for it reason....
you need to be root to affect the computer every time the virus tries to run if it is made to run on linux.....
you must be sure that a windows program can never affect a linux pc or MOBILE
Our A1200/E6 is DAMN good to be infected....LOLZ
while I hope this will clear all your doubts.........![]()

Wow thanks! It's clear to me now![]()
Btw, have you experienced having trouble running the GBA Emulator on your Moto Ming A1200e? I was able to flash my Ming to Amin's latest firmware but when I installed the gba emulator and tried to run a .gba file it says 'cannot find an application to open the file.' How do you fix this? I have the emulator installed yet it sees .gba files as foreign files to it. . .

this is because you are trying to directly play the file without using the program emulator ....
as the emulator is not registered in the mime types so phone will not detect .gba file as correct and it will give error cannot find an application to open the file
so you have to tap on the .GBA file and choose the open with option and then choose the GBA EMULATOR program from the list and then your game will start....
while if you want to make it open by that emulator as default then tick always option....
now you are ready to play....![]()
