Hello,
I have a Kenwood dnx8120 in my car. Among other functions it has bluetooth handsfree and it works great with my wife's HTC Touch and my daughter's Sony/Ericsson W508, but it is giving me some trouble with my A1200i (upgraded to 1200/1600 Hybrid).
It finds, bonds, connects to the dnx8120 and works fine, but it stops working when I restart the dnx8120 (or the car). Both, the a1200i and the dnx8120, keep the the device entry and connect, but dial and answer functions fail.
But if I explicitly disconnect devices (from the phone application) then everything works fine after restart.
Any suggestions??
Marcos

This 2 sequences work:
1. Turn my car (or the dnx8120) on, turn bluetooth on in the A1200i, dial or answer ...., goto bluetooth app, disconnect, and turn car off. Turn car on, turn bluetooth on in my A1200i, bond to dnx8120 in devices list, devices see each other, and it works again.
2. Turn my car (or the dnx8120) on, turn bluetooth on in the A1200i, dial or answer ...., turn car off, goto bluetooth app and turn bluetooth off in my A1200i. Turn car on, turn bluetooth on in my A1200i, bond to dnx8120 in devices list, devices see each other, and it works again.
But if I forget to disconnect or to restart bluetooth on my a1200i then I have to delete the A1200i entry at the device list in the dnx8120. After deleting I can use any of the 2 sequences above.
The problem is that it is not very confortable to have to disconnect or restart bluetooth everytime you turn your car off. And if you forget, you have to delete the A1200i entry in the Bluetooth Setup of the dnx8120.
Besides, everything works ok with my wife's HTC Touch and the dnx8120. And my a1200i works fine with Volkswagen radio handsfree bluetooth.
Any clues?
well sometimes it depends upon the system which the phone uses to connect...
While I think since HTC Touch is having windows as working OS for the phone and Our A1200 has LINUX so it can have these issues ...
So i can only suggest you...to work on however it makes you comfortable![]()

Well, that sounds like giving up.
I've been using linux at home and at work for more than 12 years and I don't like windows at all, at least on my PCs. Never had a windows mobile on any device.
Anyway, going back to the issue:
* the dnx8120 and the a1200i support bluetooth handsfree profile (HFP)
* the a1200i is working properly with other handsfree devices such as Volkswagen's handsfree car radio.
* the dnx8120 is working fine with other phones.
* the a1200i and the dnx8120 recognize each other, create a bond and work fine, but you need to explicitly
disconnect or turn bluetooth off on the phone. Otherwise it won't work next time you turn it on.
This is pretty close to working fine, so I guess there should be some kind of configuration or hack to try before giving up.
Thank you,
Marcos
well how can I say anything until i test it ....Well, that sounds like giving up.
since i have not even seen your dnx8120 and how it works
yes it may be that there should be some method to resolve this problem....
and I am pretty sure it will soon be discovered...by you.. and till then try hacking dnx8120 device...
