Unable to telnet A1200 kernel.

USING UBUNTU 9 & 10
I am trying to port android to my a1200.I followed the giude from

I used the android nfs compiled kernel that was linked with it.
When i upload the kernel then some kernel info scrolls so after it when it try to telnet as it is said in the guide
it used

telnet 192.168.1.2
telnet 192.168.1.1

nothing happened it said network not reachable

plz help me.

i aready used android on my phone..i used two init parameters on defconfig... init=/init init=/system/bin/runtime
try it!
