Now what you did I don't know but what is the actual condition of your phone can you tell me there could be problem with anything like power button or something

try this

open the motherboard (this time be gentle) attach the lcd on the board insert the charger cable If the LCD show red screen then you may continue the process and if does not shows red then try pressing VR key and plug in the cable
Hope you may be wrong that you made your phone dead....

I think the new board may cost you more than what you can get a second hand ming
