Why not SciTE Source Code Editor?
Scintilla and SciTE
Guys, I often used the "Convert to UNIX" option in Notepad++, but now I'm using version 5.6.8 and it's not there..
If I open up a UNIX file, it shows it's UNIX in the status bar; but how on earth do I do it when creating a new file? I hope there is a feature somewhere in the program available to do this (and that it hasn't been removed entirely).
As you know, we always use UNIX for our phones, and that's why I'm posting here.
yes it has option to set to unix
Just do this
Go to Settings=>preferences
then go to "new document and default directory tab"
and in format choose UNIX (or whatever your want)
but there is a problem that you can not set it as default as you exit notepad++ it is reset to DOS
so whenever you want to create UNIX format file do this settings and you can make your files in UNIX format
Hope this helps you![]()

Thanks guys, I'll check it out when I get home.
It might be a little late to reply, but the function you were looking for was simply moved to a different sub-menu
try looking in Edit > EOL Conversion > UNIX Format
