| Keyboard did not change according to theme When ever I install a theme, the qwerty's symbols and accent keyboard remains default for some reason. Before, I just thought that some of the themes lack those keyboard skins...but then I realized that it happens to all the other themes I'm trying. I am installing the theme using the skinInstaller, probally the best way to install theme from what I have read. When I extract the iconres.ezx of the themes, the keyboard's skins are there, and are named the same in 2 different iconres file I extracted (mphone and bluepro). So is there a way to force those skins to work, for I have tried installing it again and again using the skinInstaller but to no avil. | Try installing using Eakrin's skin and splash installer, you should be fine then and also try installing twice.

| I did install it using Eakrin's skin/splash installer...multipile times but still nothing. I even tried using wondermoto2(very scary, since I did brick my phone once using that to change theme), but the keyboard still remains the same. When I install the MotoFan's exclusive theme, all keyboards are changed according to the theme. So I checked into the iconres and see if the keyboard gifs are named the same, figuring that maybe there was a typo in the name. But they are the same, and so I was sad. I think I might have to extract the skn file and see if there are any differences there. One thing I noticed though, the pskn file contains a lot more than the ones I'm trying to "fix".
P.S. the one I'm trying to "fix" is Mphonemix...I really like that theme, but of course not as good as the Mfan one

You obviously have the iconres installed because the app icons are there. | Tried using InsTheme, but still the same. The symbol keyboard remain to default theme. How does a .skn file created? I unpacked it using ezx cross tool, but all I get is 1 picture file. I even tried installing the theme twice using InsTheme, but if I do that a new problem was encountered. All icon changed back to default theme, and splash screen is back to default as well.

Yes, I do have fingerpad installed. Does fingerpad have an effect to how the QWERTY keyboard is loaded when installing a new theme??

| Yea, it's the accent QWERTY and the symbols QWERTY keyboard that are not changed. For some reason, when I install the motorola fan theme, it loaded sucessfully. What program should I extract the iconres.ezx and the .skn file with? I'm guessing the ezx crosstool doesn't really extract everything. I am just curious.
I unpack iconres files using earkin's Perl scripts mentioned the R section of the FAQ. ** GUIDE To MODDING Your A1200 ** User Information Current Phone: A1200r Firmware: 32P-OENT "XP Windows" monsterpack Location: Portland, OR | | | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
