Question Android on Motorola Phone

Per this link motorola will ditch linux and move to android.

Has anyone successfully run android on A1200 ?

well i hear about the android run in a1200 but i dont try to flash my phone and install then..
Somewhere here sure have installed android.. so wait..

I think the article meant new phones will have Android/Google Linux not old phones, like the Ming.

Buut, since motorola is running on ARM platform, have sufficient amount of ram and rom memory which all is suitable for Android you shouldn't be surprised if sometime soon you see ming running Android. Personally I can't wait for this to happen.

I'd try to port it myself if I loved my phone less hehe...

I got my G1 on Oct 21st. So I've been busy with it and haven't checked motofans much.

I'd love to try running android on my ming, but I'm not sure if it has the right input screen and buttons...would take a lot of adjustment to make it work smoothly.

Also, don't get too excited about android just yet. I had to give up voice prompt dialing, bluetooth and wifi are buggy, and the only terminal window enabled so far has no root access. The file managers available are still works in progress. I still love it for the google integration, but there's a lot of room for improvement.
