I'm not a seller and have no any relation to SMG. I'm programmer
I posted awhile back that I wanted an A1200r and I needed to know what I was getting so I wouldn't get a tri-band A1200e phone. Why were you looking for an A1200e? How did you manage to find two sellers that were selling the "e" version"? Why would you say the "e" is quad band?

Because it's latest version of A1200 and it's still produced and sold in such countries as China, Russia, Ukraine, Etc.
And also i believe it has not only newer firmware but hardware too.

I found only one because first seller sold me oldest version of A1200 and also refurbished instead of new.
After that i did some research and i had a few stores to buy but i was not sure which exact version they sell
Also i found this thread and if you read it carefully you'll see that a few people which bought recently from SMG got exactly A1200e and they have in their signatures firmware version starts from "R541" which is sign of A1200e. And i decided to check this store by myself and got A1200e.

Because when i look into firmware info (using this code www008w) last line on the screen is "Technology: Quad-band GSM".
And also i found "Data sheet" on Motorola website which stated that all 4 version (A1200/A1200i/A1200r/A1200e) are Quad-band.
