Installation instructions for rockbox-bleeding-20070909

1. Download unzip utility from here and Rockbox from RapidShare
2. Copy extracted unzip utility and still compressed Rockbox to your memory card.
3. Using eKonsole or over telnet:

# cd /mmc/mmca1
# ./unzip rockbox-bleeding-20070909.zip

4. For A1200/E6 user:

Code:

# cd /mmc/mmca1
# ./unzip rockbox/qt-2.3.10-a1200.zip

5. Install appropriate package for specific device from rockbox directory on your memory card.

is this a final a1200 version or we need to wait more

its an opensource juke box
ie. its media player that plays all audio format,has equalizers,album art ,lyrics.. and more...

not working for me... i have the updated version of eXMMS... it installed for me, but whenever i tried to launch it, it shows a black blank screen & then it quits. I have installed, & restarted the mobile, but of no use...

Use the all in one zip file from droopyargentina's mirror sites.
1. install exmms.
2. after that, update it by copying the contents of the exmms update zip file over the ones in ur phone's mmc.
3. after that, copy the contents of rockbox zip file onto ur phone (the whole rockbox folder as is to ur mmc). Then open the folder from ur phone and install using the a1200 pkg file.
4. after that, copy the contents of the qt zip file into ur mmc.

Should work after that. worked for me.

It is nice, but it currently has two MAJOR issues: no touchscreen and no Bluetooth.

When those 2 are working I will definately use it.

All rockbox device target have no touchscreen support. Our phone is not rockbox author device target and have no plan to add it by myself because it's hard and fully operate using hardware button only is nice

First EXMMS and now rockbox !!

Just one question : How to increase HT-820's volume? any tweak for that ??
when I used EXMMS volume remains high when I used wired headsets wid real player...
But as soon as I switch to Blue tooth Volume effect is lost
